Artist Statement
Hailing from El Barrio, also known as Spanish Harlem in Manhattan, I grew up in the vibrant 90s, where bold brows and dark lip liners ruled the beauty scene and artists like Kevyn Aucoin were iconic. Raised by my maternal grandmother, I learned the value of hard work and developed a deep appreciation for quality skincare.
My paternal grandmother nurtured my love for Puerto Rico, introducing me to remarkable artists like Iris Chacón, Marquita Rivera, and Sylvia Del Villard. Watching and emulating these influential figures fueled my passion for makeup.
Over the years, my artistry has evolved beyond fleeting trends to embrace a beauty that celebrates diversity and individuality. With a family rich in diverse backgrounds, I am dedicated to ensuring that everyone who sits in my chair feels as beautiful and confident as I want each member of my family to feel. My goal is to create timeless looks that honor and highlight the unique beauty of each person.
